Julià Minguillón
Julià Minguillón obtained his Bachelor, Master of Science and PhD in Computer Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1995, 1997 and 2002 respectively. Since 1994, he has been a teacher of the Combinatorics and Digital Communications Group at the UAB, and in 2001 he joined the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) as a lecturer at the Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunication Studies, where he is leading a research group in e-learning, ontologies and user modeling in virtual environments for personalization purposes. Currentlynow he is leading the OLCOS EU project on Open Educational Resources and a Spanish government project named PERSONAL on personalizing virtual learning environments by means of adaptive itineraries and reusable learning objects. His research interests also include web mining and learning process formalization and standardization, multimedia content description standards interoperability and web services integration.
