The SELF Support Programme is a partnership strategy to support SELF with various ways of contributions. The European Commission supports the SELF project for the initial set up of the platform and the first educational and training materials. Additional funding is needed for localisation, dissemination and specific activities. The aim is to produce a snow ball effect starting with public funding.

Therefore, SELF can benefit from many different types of contributions. We have organised them into these main sections:

Educational partners:

provide important contributions to learning materials, for the creation, editing, translation and quality assurance. They include Free Software communities, government bodies and agencies, educational institutes, training organisations, certification organisations.

Technology and Service partners:

provide important contributions to the technical development and hosting infrastructures of the Platform. They include therefore technology developers, datacentre partners, and possibly other service partners.

External Communication partners:

help disseminate the existence and specific materials of the SELF Platform. Partners help for instance in announcing SELF through their communication channels, publish articles and organise workshops and other events about SELF and/or with SELF materials. Partners include media organisations of all types, event organisations and other organisations that actively promote SELF.

Distribution partners:

distribute SELF materials through different channels such as in printed form in books, in digital form in electronic learning platforms and/or on CD/DVD. Partners include publishers, virtual learning platforms, and other organisations that may help distribute.
