Claudio Andaur

Claudio Andaur, aka "malefico" in the internet forums, lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Claudio is a chemical engineer that has left his career to start a new life as 3D character animator. He is a self-taught animator and started working with FLOSS in 1996 - and got hooked.

Claudio worked as animation teacher during three years in Buenos Aires, and has been heavily involved in promotion, education and development of Blender (www.blender3d.org). He has collaborated in the writing of the Blender 2.3 Official Guide, and coordinated the traslation to Spanish efforts during some time.

Claudio co-founded "Manos Digitales Animation Studio" and is supervising the "Plumíferos" project which is the first feature film (85 minutes long) in the world created using exclusively FLOSS (http://www.plumiferos.com). During the last 8 years he have worked in advertising, videogames, visual fx and character animation using FLOSS, and given lectures in several countries besides Argentina such as Colombia, Venezuela, Spain, Netherlands and Belgium. Claudio has also recently worked as an external animator for the Peach Project (http://peach.blender.org) : the second open movie made by the Blender Foundation.

Heather Ford 

Heather Ford is the Executive Director of iCommons, an organisation incubated by Creative Commons with the broad goal of connecting open content, access to knowledge, open access publishing and free culture communities around the world. Heather has a degree in Journalism and Media Studies and postgraduate studies in internet policy, law and management at the University of the Witwatersrand and Stanford University. She has worked in the fields of Internet policy, law and management in South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. Heather is a member of the SELF Advisory Board,
